| Posted : Thursday, December 5, 2002 - 01:34 Map2.34 changes the health back color to a white-black gradient for those players who have light colors.
The new LOCAL DOWNLOADS is now available too.
Check the Downloads page for the ZIP file.
This will enable you to download the map, and all images making the game load MUCH faster.

| Posted : Thursday, December 5, 2002 - 01:47 I've also re-enabled caching, so the main map should cache from now on, so future loads shouldnt take as long even if you dont use the local downloads.
if you have any problems as a result of caching turned on, let me know |

I assigned them to c:\ld\ (it then re-assigned them to 'c:/ld', but I doubt it matters too much), and Slow 7 has failed to load. Ads at the top are fine, and the right sidebar is fine. The main map however is still white. Everything else ok, including the game screen (the one that has the link to open the map). |

are you sure the local downloads are installed correctly?
in CTD's case, there should be a file called
C:/ld/flash/newmap234.swf

| Posted : Friday, December 6, 2002 - 13:31 The file exists. 'C:\ld\flash\newmap234.swf'. In fact, I was playing a battle game earlier today, and forgot to turn them off - so I got a white screen loading that game's screen up. Yet everything else with the local downloads work.
Anyway - everything's fine with the local downloads off. |

does it say loading or generating at any time?

Everythng about local downloads is fine EXCEPT the box where the map should be. Ads are there, sidebar is there - but map is white, like it never even displayed a page.
Ideas? |

| Posted : Saturday, December 28, 2002 - 14:33 I moved the local downloads to floppy disk so I've ruled out my hard drive.
Second, it turns it the reason why it looks like and empty web page (the whiteness) is because it IS an empty web page - <html></html>, to be precise.
In normal speak - no commands, only the page header!
I can try it on a different machine later...but it won't be tonight... |
