Looks like the game still works, if you can get flash to run.

I used FlashBrowser (https://flash.pm/browser/) to play a training game.

I joined this game (waronline.net/home/egame.asp?gid=12805) and will try to keep checking back in occasionally.

If you are also hopelessly optimistic and/or nostalgic and want to give it a try, feel free to join me.

It only runs on Windows! Dang it!

I suppose I could spend my few dollars on a used Windows laptop... does it seem to really work? Opens maps? Shows troops?

I think it's supposed to work on Windows/Mac/Linux. I tried it on Linux and it worked for me.

I was able to open the map, move troops around, and attack/kill barbarians around my castle in a training game.

Battles are pretty forgiving about when turns happen, no need to both be here, although that is fun.

Oh ok, yeah, I see that you can force the game to end after 10 minutes of inactivity, but of course we can just not do that. It's been a while since I've played, lol.

Anyway, I joined your battle and made my first turn.

I would NEVER force a turn!

I've had to reopen the browser to get to the map when I have minimized the game window.

Perhaps I should make a thread about problems we encounter in this new world!

You're also always showing as being online on the "Who's Online" list. I guess you're probably keeping the game/map open? I don't know if that's normal behavior for the site or the browser acting weird.

Yeah, I have to sign in and load stuff if I log off. I just open Chrome on top of this, most of the time I can go right back to the map.
