The game is too slow. Today kids don't want to sit around for 3 months to end a game, only making one move per day. That is the main problem I belive.

If we could just make this game go viral as a relic that could be taken over by a new generation of players we might get somewhere. The thing is to find the avenue to tell enough people that there is an opportunity to populate a truly cool game. I keep my eyes open for such an opportunity. It could happen.

The issue is that even with the remaining players it's almost impossible to arrange a duel or a battle. And these are very dynamic games and can be finished in one day of someone wants to...
I guess people want to keep their ranking :-)

I agree about duels, battles became next to impossible after the "move through your own troops" rule was added.

I have been playing duels. Ranking is getting kind of silly at this point, not enough players for it to mean anything! Still, I like to win, not lose.

I always hope for a freak internet viral activity that would bring Waronline two hundred million players by some odd chance. It would make Req's server explode, though.

Good point! Perhaps Requiem will tire of having to run this thing and just mercy kill it. I still want a viral awakening of the earth's peoples to this wonderful game though.

I am sorry that this beautiful game has no players.
I joined in 2003 and I always had fun in my campaigns and battles. But now Waronline is a desert...
Anyway, we have just started a new campaign...;-)
