| Posted : Sunday, May 6, 2012 - 20:58 To be fair I have to say no. I could be cute and say it sort of heats things up while also cooling them down but that might be misleading.

| Posted : Monday, May 7, 2012 - 04:45 a sun dial also measures something (time, in the abstract, the position of the sun in the sky in reality), so... I asked the measurement question to eliminate a whole bunch of stuff I couldn't think of, but also clocks and scales. |

| Posted : Monday, May 7, 2012 - 05:37 To make things easier for everyone, here is the story so far: 1. It has an irregular shape. 2. It is not kind of animal 3. It is a physical thing existing in our world 4. Part of it is plant, vegetable or tree like (not alive though) 5. Part of it is made of metal 6. Loosely speaking, it is a tool. Most people wouldn't classify it as such at first thought, though 7. It is not a weapon 8. It is not used in sport 9. It is bigger than a football 10. and smaller than an average car 11. It doesn't have an engine 12. It does have moving parts. 13. It does not measure something 14. It is typically attached to, or a component of something else (for example: a door is usually attached to a house, or window the same)? 15. To operate, it requires power from a non-human source (e.g. electricity (whether mains or battery), fuel, wind or solar)? 16. It does not heat something up, or cool it down (although it might, but if Mog said yes it might be confusing) 17 ? Last Edited : Monday, May 7, 2012 - 05:41 | Hambone Joined 12/27/2008 Posts : 329

| Posted : Monday, May 7, 2012 - 06:13 lol... sorry LOD... wasn't trying to be a jerk, you didn't even cost a question. was really just trying to make more people aware of questions they might have missed, but I think hambone's summery works better. | |
