It was a different game, using hourly ticks, battle/movement points, and lots of other differences.

This is so wierd I can hardly believe it.

For you newer players, you'll probably have to join again, you should probably use your current name, but I don't think you'd have to.

It is wildly different. Try a battle, you'll see. You can't move through your own troops, for one thing, so move carefully! However, you can sneak around one hex at a time for scouting. You won't see how far you can move, you'll have to learn to count hexes.

Join Slow 5, if you have the rank to do so!

Slow 5 is for lvl 21-60
(I had lvl 94 at the time ...)

I asked Req and if you didn't have your nickname registered back then you'd have to create a new one.

Because today there are no games equal to back then. 10 as fierce warriors are no longer to find among the lot in here, Simon
Raptor, Big Amigo, Finguld, Crovax, Fanatic, Mimic, Ultima Bahamut, Byron, Braquemart and myself. All in one game. That lot in an 86 turn tickbased long clangame. It's not even possible toplay tickbased anymore so games can never be as hard anymore.

Correction LOD, it WAS no longer possible to play tick-based games.

And LOD, that is certainly a who's who of good players from eons ago.

Sometimes I really wish we could get another major game like that going again. I think we can and I challenge anyone who thinks they're brave enough to join slow 1.

It looks like Req has removed any level restrictions so even LOD can play in this camp if he would like to.

It's great! I wonder how long it will take to adapt to the old game again.

LOD is right tough, with the current amount of active players, and taking in mind that the game has become quite a bit easier, campaigns like those will not occur anymore.

I think those games died along with great clans like FSA, BoS, CoC and also AAA.

I'd love to queue up for Slow 1 Coop and get my tail handed to me, but it won't allow me to join because I was level 46 way back when.

Which means I'd need Req to make some more changes to participate (i.e. removing the level requirements altogether, since it will be difficult enough to get enough people to play period, let alone the appropriate level).

I thought Req was removing the level requirements so we could get a game going. That's from talking with him in IRC a couple nights ago.

Well Slow 3 would work i think. Unfortunately back then i didn't have much rank so that's as high as i can play unless Req changes things.

Harold, I've been facing some problems with getting on the page as well. For me the problem seems to be this:

Once i have logged in to the ''real'' waronline site i cannot display the classic one in the same browser after that. When i close the browser and go to the classic version without going to the current WOL-site i am able to see the classic game.

Maybe this will work for you as well.

if i open this link it takes me to a war of kings page and wont open the next link any ideas

tried lgging out of wol and starting new account in wok, but to no avail, I give up lol
