I also wonder what Nyxon brought up. TROOP TRANSFERS...

I would like to see it return. When a stack takes a hit, I would think it logical that reinforcements would be brought in to bring a force up to strength.

Interesting changes. I like some, not sure on others, but sure having an interesting time adjusting my tactics and strategy to being in an opponents castle and those stacks of 10 showing up! YIKES!

THX!

Troop Transfers are back up Estes, must've been a temporary thing.

Will I get tribute for destruction of an enemy resource building?

No matter. Can anybody please tell me the exchange rate between tribute and gold? Req said more markets = better rate (somewhere, might just be a change he plans on implementing) and if so what is the factor of the increase?

At 100% it is 20 to 1, but the best you can ever really do is 80% because of the transaction fee.

To be even slightly interesting the rate between gold and tribute should be at least 50-1 or something in that region. If I am to give up 100 points, I would want at least two 10 pops in exchange

I said much the same thing to Req in irc when he was trying to decide on the rates. His response was that castles give 50 tribute and 1000 gold per turn (or 20 gold to 1 tribute) so anything more than that would be too much and that's what he picked for the market's top standard.

I personally think it's a pretty good standard since i've already seen an opponent sell off about 2000 tribute to defend the castle i attacked. I can only imagine what i would be facing if he had a higher rate for exchange.

exactly. the market should not be a 2nd income, but rather a way to get gold quickly if you need it, but at a cost

After using the market fairly extensively in tha past few turns in a couple of camps, I believe it to be just about right. I could always use a few more gold.

But, when I teched up the market I was pleased with the return.

Though I think I'm about to get a lesson from an opponent who's upped to THREE markets. I'll be curious how it helps his efforts.

Agreed; even being that opponent Coopels mentions, I shouldn't be able to make money appear out of thin air at little cost. Selling off tribute like that is a last ditch response; not something you want to do again and again. Build markets if you want to establish a longer term trade.

but estes if you had never built the market or teched it up you would have more gold then you got out of the trade and not have lost the tribute at least thats how it has worked for me so far , the prices for the markets and the techs are more then i will get out them later

i like the tribute because it allows me to get money quick...especially sense i normally get overran, it allows me to get a couple stacks out and manage to hold until i can make a comeback...however it still doesn't work out for me when i run out of tribute and i only get the base and i don't have any extra.

you sell your rank to survive... well, in campaigns i dont think that this is an advantage. if you sell tribute, you can afford some stacks but you loose your chance to reach a good ranking.

Doesn't matter your rank if you don't survive. IMHO...
