A caterpillar is the larval form of a member of the order Lepidoptera (the insect order comprising butterflies and moths). It is a larva, not yet an full insect, I guess. Millipedes and Centipedes are arthropods like spiders, so have more than six legs. Insects have six legs.

Having found all this out, I''ll have to say this is the larval form of an insect, it may have more than six legs but I can''t find that. So work with that. I`ll even add a question back! Mogs are known for their fairness and even tempers. (Now get out of my face before you pull back a bloody neckstump)

Maybe it''s a walking stick...those things are weird. Part dead plant (the stick part of their name) and yet it is part animal.
